The founder
Elizabeth Vidal
Artist, author, and the entire staff of Evening Reigns.
Evening Reigns is where art and story meet.
I'm Elizabeth Vidal, the creator behind Evening Reigns. My work brings together digital artwork, adult coloring collections, and original fiction, with a love for striking characters, dark glamour, and worlds that invite a closer look.
Some pieces begin with a character I want to bring to life. Others grow from an outfit, a mood, or an idea I can't leave alone. Through Evening Reigns, I give those ideas room to become artwork, coloring experiences, and stories.
Behind Virtual Dolls
Virtual Dolls begins with characters I create and style using IMVU as my digital canvas. I put together their appearance, clothing, hair, accessories, poses, and settings, then capture images of them to use as the foundation for my artwork.
From there, I personally edit and refine the images, shaping the lighting, atmosphere, composition, and finishing details. The original Virtual Dolls artwork is not AI-generated. It comes from my avatar designs, image captures, and editing process.
The matching coloring pages are AI-assisted adaptations of that original artwork. I use these tools to help translate the finished images into line art, then review and refine the results for the collection. The original artwork and the coloring page are two distinct stages of the process.
Characters such as Eve, Reign, and Ty Lee each have their own style and personality. Their collections let me explore those differences through fashion, expression, and imaginative settings.
Beyond Virtual Dolls
My Etsy shop also includes collections outside the Virtual Dolls series, including Fierce & Feminine and Soft & Cozy. These give me space to explore different subjects and moods, from bold, confident imagery to gentler scenes made for a quiet coloring session.
The process varies by collection. Where I use AI-assisted tools, I guide the visual direction through my concepts, prompts, selections, and editing. I choose what belongs in the finished collection and work toward a consistent style across its pages.
Because my collections have different origins, I distinguish original Virtual Dolls artwork from AI-assisted work rather than treating everything in the shop as the same process. Individual listings provide the details of what you'll receive.
Your Art, Your Colors
My coloring collections offer another way to spend time with the artwork. Follow the colors of the matching image, experiment with a completely different palette, or take the piece in a direction I never imagined.
Matching original artwork is included free with my coloring collections, giving you a reference to enjoy alongside the line art. You're paying for the coloring pages; the artwork is an extra part of the experience.
Each listing explains its page count, file formats, and printing or digital-coloring options, so you can choose the collection that suits you.
Stories Beyond the Artwork
Evening Reigns is also home to my original storytelling.
Obscura Shadowglass is my developing dark urban fantasy series, explored through lore, animation, and cinematic storytelling on YouTube. It gives my characters a world to inhabit beyond a single image.
I'm also writing an adult novel set in a world shaped by danger, desire, and shifting loyalties. It's still in progress, and once it's ready my hope is to publish it. I look forward to sharing more as it develops.
